Two men, young at heart and eager for adventure set off for Alaska in a Tri Pacer.
A place called Northway, Alaska. Stayed at this fine establishment a couple of days due to weather. The day I checked the weather it was -7 degrees F.
That is frost on the inside of the windows.
Crossing the Canadian Rockies.
Where daddy grew up. This is looking North as we climbed out from Omak. It's the Okanogan river and the area of Tonasket, WA.

The Cascade Mountains.
Another pic of where daddy grew up. This is the Okanogan river and the east side of Omak.

We had just flown over the Black Hills in South Dakota. We didn't see any gold.

Wow! 2 posts in 2 days...amazing. Quite the adventure, Quinn! Not for me, no sir! Give me 80 degrees, sunshine, a bottle of sunscreen, and a huge stretch of sand over those snowy mountains any day! Just seeing the pictures made my feet freeze. Glad you made it back home safely! Love, B&R&B&T
Looks like you had a fabulous trip Quinn. The pictures look wonderful. How long did it take T/O to T/D? How frequently did you have to stop for refueling?
It was 46 hours of flying and took 12 days. We stopped about every 3 hours for fuel. There were the obligatory delays for weather and some maintenance and a stop to see our Grandmother and Aunt. Overall, it was great fun and I would love to do the trip again. It is a phenomenal way to see the country.
